Year 10
• Work experience available all year round – students to see careers advisor and give two weeks notice. Students to find own experience but some assistance is given if students are having difficulty.
• Careers seminars for ‘at risk’ students in partnership with Canterbury Career Connections
• Various excursions offered to interested students e.g. Centrelink, Sydney University, UNSW, UTS, UWS, Ultimo TAFE, Padstow TAFE Open Day and Bankstown TAFE Hospitality Day
• Compulsory attendance at Metropolitan south West Careers market
• Career Lessons, on a withdrawal basis, covering topics such as Careers Planning, student tracking and exit plan) Resume writing Letters of Application and Interview Techniques.

• Opportunity to attend presentations from guest speakers e.g. Defence Force, Police Force (both State and Federal) and private college representatives.
• General assistance with ‘subject Selection’ for year 10
Year 11

• Excursions to various universities e.g. UWS ‘Pathways” Day; TAFE; various specialist careers days e.g. UTS and UNSW engineering days, UTS Careers and I.T. days
• Opportunity to attend Sydney University ‘Careers Day for boys and Girls’
• Organisation of TVET where students attend TAFE as part of their preliminary studies
• Participation in Australian business Community Network Careers and Business Days
• Opportunity to visit Microsoft Careers and IT mentoring program
Year 12
• Formal careers interview arranged; additional interview available on request.
• Career excursion organised for interested students e.g. UWS Careers Pathways Day. Sydney University, UTS, Macquarie University and Ultimo TAFE.
• Advice available on information relating to university and TAFE applications.
• Assistance with Scholarship applications, if requested e.g. equity, input, access.
• Information re Bonus Point schemes at universities.
• Guest Speakers available for interested students eg Macleay College, Defence Force, Police Force, various universities and Bedford College.
• Organization of TVET participation for relevant students.
• Distribution of Careers Resource book and Year 12 fortnightly Newsletter.
